1. Do you have a colour chart? How do I know what colours you have?
We have an astounding amount of colours! We do not have a colour chart. Please use words to tell us what colour(s) you are interested in when creating a custom order. We ask for your first and second colour choices. If you are concerned that your words may not be a clear and precise way to let us know your colour choices, please feel free to send us a few images that feature the exact colour you are hoping for.
2. How do I know if I'm taking my measurements correctly?
Here is a great illustration to clarify! Thank you to a great ETSY customer, Egor, for making this.
It is best to use a tailor's measuring tape (but you can also get away with using string and then measuring it out on a yard/meter stick or construction tape measure). Do not hold your breath when you take your measurements....just stand relaxed. Pull the tape (or string) nice and snug but just enough to sit nicely around the part you are measuring.
3. Is wool itchy?
While it is true that 'lambswool' is rough and makes you want to itch when you wear it, SARTORIA is only using Merino Wool or Cashmere to create the Winter Collection. These wools have the very finest fibers and most people do not find that it is irritating to the skin. Lambswool is the wool made by sheep raised primarily for meat. Merino wool on the other hand, is a breed of sheep raised specifically for its amazing fine wool. And ohla! Cashmere is the wool from a specific goat...a cashmere goat!
Having said all that, each person is different, and we cannot guarantee that you will find it comfortable to wear either Merino Wool or Cashmere next to your skin.
4. What does 'Regenerative Design' mean?
It is a term created by John T. Lyle, a landscape architect professor in the 1970's. He challenged graduate students to envision a community in which daily activities were based on the value of living within the limits of available renewable resources without environmental degradation. The term 'regenerative' describes processes that restore, renew or revitalize their own sources of energy and materials, creating sustainable systems that integrate the needs of society with the integrity of nature.
